Description
The ANVIS-9 night vision binocular is a dual tube night vision goggle/binocular based on the AN/AVS-9 or F4949 aviator’s night vision goggle. While built out of the same parts, the ANVIS-9 is NOT TSO APPROVED, and is intended for GROUND USE or AIR OBSERVATION ONLY. The ANVIS-9 is not intended to be used for the operation of ANY aircraft.
The ANVIS-9 comes a Low-Profile Battery Pack that holds 4x AA batteries, and also acts as a counterweight. A Clip-On Power Supply is also included for hand-held operation. A ground helmet mount is included with all units. A soft head harness, with WILCOX three-hole shroud, is also supplied for hands-free operation. Shipped in the original AN/AVS-9 soft green storage/carry case, and a hard plastic waterproof transportation and storage case.
The ANVIS-9 is built using a variety of ELBIT & L-3 Harris image intensifier tubes.
