Description
The BNVD is a dual tube night vision goggle/binocular that can also be turned into a monocular, by rotating one side up and out of the way. While used as a monocular with a weapon or laser sight, it allows user to keep one eye naturally night vision adapted for enhanced situational awareness. It can also function as a long range night vision binocular with optional 3x afocal lenses. It automatically powers off when up in helmet mounted stow position, and powers back on when it is flipped back down. This feature can also be turned off using its four position ON/OFF switch.
The BNVD is built using a variety of ELBIT & L-3 Harris image intensifier tubes.
